ADIDAS x ASOS
The Adidas x ASOS range is a quick turnaround Training & Sportswear range with a finger on the pulse of the current GenNow trends. With special attention to fashion forward colour colourpalettes, fresh materials and graphics, it features performance training fabrics and details.
I was engaged with adidas for four seasons of this men's training collection. Each season had a different theme, following a key GenNow trend. As the project is on a quick turnaround calendar, the requirements were narrowed down to the essentials: a mood + direction, colour palette, range designs and techpacks.
SUNBLEACHED EARTH TONES + VINTAGE COLOURBLOCKS
Looking to vintage tracksuits and sportswear for colourblock inspiration, but elevating it in a more modern earth tone colour palette. The range also featured vintage inspired silhouettes, with a crinkle woven halfzip windbreaker, woven training shorts, and a fleece matching two piece tracksuit. First layers were inspired by football silhouettes.
PSYCHEDELIC SUMMER FESTIVAL
Inspired by the trippy visuals and psychedelic summer colours seen at raves and festivals, this range featured sporty mesh fabric overlay panels and melting all over prints on performance sportswear silhouettes.
ABSTRACT AUTUMN
With a colour palette inspired by late afternoons in autumn, this range featured bold abstract colourblocking as seen in performance cycling wear and football jerseys. The range also featured woven fabric overlays and cargo pockets on sweat tracksuit styles, and a more youthful slim fit on first layers.
ALPHA STRENGTH
Inspired by the selfie generation: the guys who like to show off their hard work in the gym by showing off their hard bodies on their insta selfies. The range featured super slim fit silhouettes, and cutlines designed for maximum freedom of movement. Simplified styles in a fresh and youthful 'new masculine' colour palette.
